I'm still contemplating the unbelievable magic and beauty - and wish I had better enjoyed it (was still there!)...
...What can I say? My first thought was: use this place for a movie set. 100 acres of diligently protected eco jungle on the ocean... and a variety of animals making our acquaintance, (including wild monkeys, baby sea turtles, deer and others I can't even name (fortunately no crocs or jaguars - though not far away). Beautiful private white beach longer than a football field; beautiful beds perhaps 30 feet from the soft lapping ocean... perhaps the only private (and isolated) residence along a stretch of heaven populated by mega hotels (though one can hardly call a high luxury Mayan treehouse made without nails with arching thatched roofs, state of the art kitchen, air conditioners (important), etc... up on stilts (where they keep the sailboats, paddle boards, ping pong and all the other fun opportunities) in the worst case of a storm (we had none). The host are fabulous and committed to protecting not only their own but the created Yucatan environment as compliance executives.
Worth every penny.
And can't wait to return! (my wife was asking me yesterday:)
