Welcome to Casa Vela!
We designed and built Casa Vela using hand-hewn trees sustainably-harvested in the region, and crafted all furniture on-site. We even saved the ends of the trees to make side tables, stools and chairs. While we have modern conveniences (like air conditioning, wi-fi, flat panel TVs and a well-equipped kitchen) it is our hope you will be able to take full advantage of your getaway. We encourage you to take walks on the beach, use our kayaks and stand-up paddle boards, or simply relax to the ever-present rhythm of the waves. The home is spectacular, literally on the beach, so you’ll wake up to the beautiful sunrise and the gentle surf. We are sure you’ll have a great time when you visit us.

LOCATION - We are located on the Riviera Maya between the pristine ocean and the emerald green tropical forests and jungles of the Yucatan peninsula. The property is 35 minutes south of Cancún International Airport and directly off the major road, Highway 307, at km. 301, between the Hacienda Tres Rios and Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda resorts.
AIRPORT PICKUP & DROP-OFF – If you choose our gourmet inclusive option, we will arrange for a driver to retrieve you from the airport when you arrive and bring you back for your departure. TAXIS – Taxis are available for your shopping trips to nearby Playa del Carmen. We can also arrange for private drivers for your excursions to the pyramids at Tulum, Cobá or Chichén Itzá. RENTAL CARS – For most mobility, some guests prefer to rent a car upon arrival at at the airport. You may also come to Casa Vela by taxi and then later rent a car in nearby Playa del Carmen for the few days when you want to make excursions - we can take you to the agency. When your taxi or car arrives at the gate to the property, just ring the bell and our staff will let you in and escort you along our forested drive to the parking area. Our golf cart will take you the last stretch along our new road to the beach. |
